I have started roasting my own espresso beans based on a blend that I found for liquid velvet.  I roasted each variety separately, then blended.  Amazingly enough it turned out really good ...

1 part Brazil Sul de Minas Yellow Bourbon (Full City)
1 part Uganda AA Bugisu (Full City+)
1 part Yemen Mokha Ismaili 'Hirazi 05' (Full City+)
1 part Indian Monsooned Malabar 'Elephant' (Vienna)
